Natalie is the founder of Natalie Plumstead Legal Consulting a firm dedicated to mental health law, advocacy and legislative drafting.

Natalie is an experienced legal adviser on mental health law and a legislative drafter. She is a member of the Commonwealth Association of Legislative Counsel and has experience as a legislative drafter in Victoria.

Natalie provides legal advice on the provision of mental health services and the making of orders that may apply to consumers.

She has written on the rights-based principles that apply to the provision of mental health services in Victoria. She is applying her expertise in mental health law by exploring mental health decision making in her research for a PhD (Law) at RMIT University.

Natalie is passionate about supporting her clients and their lived experience and the community. She holds general executive and co-chair positions with the Victorian Women Lawyers.
